I thought I would be nice and update on my current situations and such.

My laptop blew up a couple weeks ago, and I have yet to hear if any of it was salvageable. This saddens me because all of my artwork and writing was on that machine, including originals of many of the works displayed here. I have come to grips with the fact that I may never get those back, but it still hurts. For that reason, I don't know when I might be returning to the art world. Most of my stuff is done digital nowdays, and as of now, I no longer have a computer to work on.

Also due to this, I'm not really looking at much art because I'm stuck on my mother's olllllldddddd monitor, which just blobs colors together to the point where I can't pick out detail even if it attempts to bite me in the ass. Just another aggravation.

On the slightly upside, it looks like I will be hitting at least two anime conventions this year. The first is Anime Fannatiku which will be held in St. George, Utah on April 19th. The other is Anime Banzai which is October 24-25th in Salt Lake City, Utah. As different cultures are so rarely explored in this state, I suggest anyone close by come out and support these wonderful people and keep it growing. It also gives me a reason to get out of the house. >.<.

Going along with conventions, I've decided to bring my FMA Chimera character of Linkin Hybrid to life this year. The character splashes can be found in my gallery, and I will update as things go along. I've started work on the coat, which I feel is going to take up most of my time, and it's coming along fairly well. I've also decided to invest in an airbrush so I can do the paintjob on said coat. That should be fun in and of itself. I will also be putting together two other costumes for this Fall, one for myself and the other for my younger brother, from the anime 'Utawarerumono.' I am going as Hakuoro, he is going as Oboro. Should be tons of fun, and I'm actually excited at the prospect of putting something together in textile. A new category to post in here at DA.

I also noticed that I'm coming up on the 4,000 page views mark. I guess I feel like it's a big thing, seeing how it's taken nearly five years to get to that point. Yeah, no popularity contest here. Anyway, whoever gets me a screen cap of the closest number to that and Note's it to me, I'll put something together for you. Might be digital if my computer is back in working order by then, might be something traditional with my new Japanese paint set. You just never know.
